    2 Grade

    Rule-based grader — the clearly-labeled stand-in for the Codex gate. The verdict (grade + grade URN) is stamped on the record before it is written to the store.

    • schema-valid: kind ∈ {semantic, episodic, procedural}, non-empty subject and text
    • no [REDACTED]-style secrets (API keys, passwords, private keys)
    • subject ≤ 200 chars
    • PASS → graded · FAIL → rejected with reasons

    3 Chain

    Hash-chained audit log (…): each entry's hash covers the entry and prev links to the last. Tamper flips one byte in a copy (audit.tampered.jsonl) — the real audit.jsonl is never touched.

      4 Recall

      Hybrid search over stored records: SQLite FTS5 keyword + character-trigram cosine, fused with RRF — the FTS5+Qdrant+RRF sidecar at toy scale. Results ranked, with URNs.
